Finn Jones is now taking on the titular character in “Iron Fist” fresh out of his character’s death in Game of Thrones. In the new trailer for Netflix’s new superhero series, Jones’ Danny Rand breaks out of a psychiatric facility.
From playing a homosexual knight in “Game of Thrones,” the actor will now play a crime-fighting martial artist. Danny Rand was just nine when he leaves New York with his family and moves to the mysterious city of K’un L’un.
Years later, the K’un L’un once again reappears to the world allowing Rand to return to his home. It is then he discovers what his father’s friend has done to his father.
Despite forgiving the man who wronged him, Iron Fist was made the suspect when the man he forgives in murdered. This sets off the events in the show as he tries to clear his name and beat up a few criminals along the way.
Danny Rand will also join these heroes in the Defenders mini-series. It is not currently known when Iron Fist will begin streaming.
Finn Jones might get a few more roles now that his stint in Game of Thrones is over. His character, Loras Tyrell was recently dispatched in the season 6 finale of the show.
After getting little screen time inof season 6, Jones’ character was seen for the last time in Winds of Winter. It was there that he was burned alive with the rest of his family in a plot devised by their enemies.
