Ben & Jerry’s Might Release Marijuana Ice Cream Soon

With some states legalizing marijuana, people are starting to wonder how else can this wonderful freedom be put to use.

In an interview with HuffPost Live Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield were asked if they can consider making marijuana-flavored ice cream.

Cohen was quick to reply. “Makes sense to me. Combine your pleasures.”

However, Greenfield received the question with a hesitant pause. He later noted that though they had experiences with different substances before, creating this new flavor was not a decision they can arrive at.

“It’s not my decision. If it were my decision, I’d be doing it, but fortunately we have wiser heads at the company that figure those things out,” Greenfield said.

Not New

The idea of a cannabis-flavored consumable is not new. Bethenny Frankely of Skinnygirl earlier this year said in a US Weekly interview that she was looking into the possibility of creating a Skinnygirl marijuana. This will be made available in states where “recreational cannabis is legal.”

23 states have so far decriminalized the possession of marijuana, all of which have possession limits.
