Amir Khan has pulled out from a proposed fight against Manny Pacquiao. It’s still unclear who would be the Filipino great’s final opponent. Terence Crawford and Timothy Bradley Jr are two names on the cards.
But Crawford has been technically unavailable as he will be defending his title come February. That leaves Bradley as the lone contender to take on Pacquiao. But even Bradley hasn’t confirmed. Bradley himself hinted that he prefers a fight with Miguel Cotto. Though that bout is also uncertain, according to Sports World News.
So, the mystery remains unsolved regarding Manny Pacquiao’s opponent. He has a warmer relationship with Bradley than the other fighters. Bradley isn’t the same boxer Pacquiao met in 2012 and 2014 in the ring. Teddy Atlas is now guiding Bradley. Even Top Rank promoter Bob Arum revealed he was bit surprised by the delay of the announcement.
Amid the confusion, Adrien Broner revealed that Manny Pacquiao‘s adviser Michael Kroncz called him up with a proposal. Broner is keen about the fight and said that he wants to hear from Kroncz soon, according to Boxingnews24.
