Manny Pacquiao is nearing the end of a successful boxing career. He is making strides to achieve his political goal now. And like a true conservative.
Pacquiao seems more focused on creating a political image rather than his coming bout against Timothy Bardley in the ring. On Monday, he sparked controversy by comparing LGBT relationships to that of mere “animals.”
Well, Pacquiao seems to be aware of the mating habits of the entire animal kingdom. Pointing to such, he revealed that it is “common sense” for animals to pair with the opposite sex. Based on this, he concluded that those in same-sex unions are worse than animals, as reported by Rappler.
“Woman was made for man, man was made for woman. It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish, male or female.”
Pacquiao went on, “If we approve male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animal,” reports Perezhilton.com. Is that his religious belief?
His comments have raked up controversies among stars of the liberal world. Local celebrity Aiza Seguerra took on him.“I am so f-ck-n’ mad I don’t know what to say. You might’ve done our country proud but with your statement, you just showed the whole country why we shouldn’t vote for you. And yes, I think you are an ignorant, bigoted hypocrite. You made me lose all respect that I had for you, Mr Pacquiao.”
Actor Vice Ganda reacted in twitter and gave a call to the LGBT community.
The LGBT is a group of people. We are humans. But not animals. Though we're no saints we will pray for Manny Pacquiao.
