Lumia 650 Listed For Pre-Order Before Official Announcement, Taken Down Later

Lumia 650 has been in the news since a few days as it is rumored to be the last Lumia handset from Microsoft. Other stories revolved around Lumia X which again put Lumia 650 in the spotlight as everyone wondered if it really is the last Lumia phone.

All these persist as mere rumors as none of the devices are officially announced yet, neither Lumia 650 nor Lumia X. Forget about the announcement, Microsoft has not even commented about the status of these Windows 10 phones. In the midst of all the chaos, what surprised everyone was Lumia 650’s availability for pre-order.

Yes, the last Lumia handset, Lumia 650 was listed on UK-based retailer, Mobile Fun’s website for pre-order. The listed price was £199 for an unlocked, SIM-Free device. But if you visit the website now and search for the phone, you get an error message.  Here is what it looks like:

Unfortunately, we couldn’t catch the phone live on the website. But according to GSM Arena’s report, Lumia 650 was listed on Mobile Fun’s UK website along with a complete list of specifications. As per GSM Arena, the phone will sport 5-inch display with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Being the latest smartphone from Microsoft, this phone will without any doubt run on Windows 10. Lumia 650 is a budget phone; it will hence be powered by Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 and not Snapdragon 820. With 1GB RAM, this Windows 10 device will come along with a microSD card. It will have an 8MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. Speaking of the battery, Lumia 650 will don a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery.
