Nintendo Europe has released a new clip that showcases cooking in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The short video shows the main character Link using mushrooms and vegetables to create various dishes.
The video begins with Link approaching the bonfire, then using a torch to heat the pot. He places a Hearty Truffle and a Hearty Radish on the pot, and what does he get? Hearty Steamed Mushrooms, all in a few seconds!
The next part show Link sneaking towards a cave then eating the Hearty Steamed Mushrooms. Next, he is seen fighting a couple of enemies before picking up Spicy Pepper, which he then cooks to create Spicy Sauteed Peppers. Of course, he eats this afterwards.
The final part of the video shows our character combining a Hightail Lizard (he is that desperate, it seems) and a Hylian Shroom to create some delicious… Dubious Food.
Overall, the short clip showcases the promise behind the game’s feature. Players will need to decide if ingredients are indeed worth putting in the pot.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is being developed for the Wii U as well as Nintendo’s upcoming NX platform. The game tells the story of Link on a quest to defeat Calamity Ganon despite having no memory of his past. It it scheduled for a 2017 release.
