Rapper Lil Boosie, more commonly known as Boosie Badazz, has revealed on Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with kidney cancer. He posted a picture of himself on Instagram on Wednesday asking fans to pray for him. The news of Lil Boosie having cancer came as a shock not only to fans but also to his group.
In the image, he is seen clad in a white sweatshirt and a gold chain, having breakfast on a table. He added a caption asking fans to pray for him. The request was followed by the line “prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know.” However, this revelation seemingly did not go well with his group’s management. As a result, the plea was swiftly removed from the post.
Boosie is the nickname of the Zoom star, but his real name is Torrence Hatch. He was recently heard in Pleazer, a track from Tyga. However, after it was released on June 12 as a single, the track failed to land on charts.
Lil Boosie is 33, and he has been battling diabetes for years. He had suffered from a sudden blackout onstage in May due to failing to continue his regular medication. However, news of Lil Boosie’s cancer continues to be a shock for the music world.
The Baton Rouge native was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary last year after serving 5 years for drug charges. He is married to Walnita Decuir-Hatch. They have seven children.
