LG is excited about its new launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The company will announce its new ‘X’ series during the event, but will introduce only two products from it – the X Cam and X Screen. LG claims that the two phones might not be at par with today’s premium handsets, but will have advanced display and a great camera.
Being a multinational electronics company, LG aims at penetrating every stratum of the society with varied choices of products. President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Juno Cho recently announced, “Everyone has a favorite smartphone feature. At LG, we think there’s room for devices that do one thing very well and that customers shouldn’t have to pay for features that they don’t want. At the end of the day, we’re committed to offering consumers more choices,” according to LGNewsRoom.
GSM Arena reports on specs and features of the two devices. The X Cam features a 5.2-inch full high-definition (FHD) display. The handset comes with 16GB internal memory space and 2GB of RAM. Apart from this, the phone is equipped with 1.14GHz octa-core processor and has an 8MP front and two rear units, 13MP and 5MP. The highlighting part is that the phone runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and weighs a mere 118gram.
X screen, which will also unveil at the MWC, has a 4.93-inch HD display. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor and the memory configuration is 2GB/16GB. Camera features are quite good, reading 13MP for the rear camera and an 8MP for the front camera. It has a 2,300mAH battery capacity. It should be noted that the devices will first roll out in Latin America, Europe and Asia next month.
You can find the two LG X phones at LG’s booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via. The MWC event will commence on February 21 and will continue till February 25.
