LG ‘Nexus 5X’ Vs ‘OnePlus X’ Comparison

The “Nexus 5X” and “OnePlus X” are among the trending phones of today. But don’t buy a phone just because everyone’s talking about it.

The “Nexus 5X” and “OnePlus X” are among the trending phones of today. But don’t buy a phone just because everyone’s talking about it. Once you start using it, you may realize that the world was going gaga over nothing.

Here is a comparison between the latest smartphones so that you can make an informed decision. Also, do not forget to consider your requirements before choosing between them. Don’t just go with the specs.

The display of both phones is almost the same. Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen while the OnePlus X has a 5-inch AMOLED display. Both devices are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Even the resolution of these two phones is the same: 1,920 x 1,080 pixels full HD screen resolution. When it comes to display, it’s a tie, but the Nexus 5X has average viewing angles as well as color reproduction. OnePlus X is not out in stores yet, so it cannot score points for this.

OnePlus has always done a good job when it comes to camera. Itwins over Nexus 5X, at least when it comes to pixels. Where OnePlus X sports a 13-megapixel primary cam with 8-megapixel selfie camera; Nexus 5X’s secondary camera has only 5 megapixels. It also dons a 12.3-MP rear camera.

Speaking of the battery, Nexus 5X does a better job with a 2,700 mAh non-removable battery. It also comes with USB Type-C, which makes it a fast-charging phone. On the other hand, OnePlus X has a slightly weaker battery – 2,525 mAh non-removable battery. Unlike OnePlus 2, this phone has skipped the USB Type-C port and has opted for a micro-USB port instead.

Android Marshmallow is going to be a game-changer. Here is where Nexus 5X wins, as it is powered by the latest operating system, whereas OnePlus X runs on Android 5.1.1. The other downside to OnePlus X is its availability. It’s still an “invite only” phone. If you are unwilling to wait for an invite, you can go for the Nexus 5X.
