LG has announced the third generation of the L series smartphones ahead of the biggest annual event of the mobile phone industry, Mobile World Congress that would be held in Spain later this month.
With this release, LG gets ahead of the other smartphone manufacturers in the race of smart devices by introducing plethora of features suited to every generation. The progress of LG is going at a lightening pace. It launched the G Pro 2 last week, and has declared the release of L series III.
What else the users want from their smartphones now as LG is offering great features with Android 4.4 KitKat. There are three models currently available L40, L70, and L90. All these devices have size ranging between 4.5 and 4.7 inches that is powered by a dual core processor. The internal memory is 4GB/8GB while the RAM is 1GB. The resolution of the phones is 960×540, while the resolution of the rear camera is 8 megapixels.
All these features make these smartphones worth having. However, the camera features are sloppy when you compare these devices with latest Samsung and HTC smartphones. You can consider the specs from the point of view of the battery also since it has 2540mAh battery storage with option of removable booting.
All three phones are just GSM supported. You should expect the compatibility with 3G in latest smartphones. Perhaps the most amazing thing about their launch is that LG is offering smart covers with them that would protect the devices from bashes and bumps. The cover has another interesting feature that it has translucent screen that enables the users to see the information without explicitly opening the cover.
The information about the price and retail is not yet revealed. However, the phones are gathering quite a bit of interest since they are the pioneers in mid and low end devices to ship with KitKat. Therefore, these devices will not receive a considerable amount of attention in the market from LG or its partner carriers.
However, these devices do possess some great features like having support for great Android 4.4 OS. Apart from Motorola, the latest version of Android is still to really roll out to the worldwide Android user base. The specifications of the devices are meant for emerging markets. Therefore, the support for LTE is not provided.
