What a way to pamper oneself! Superstar LeBron James bought himself a gift, a $21 million luxury vacation apartment in Los Angeles, according to a source close to the purchase.
The 9,350 sq. foot villa built in 2011 in the plum side of Los Angeles is now owned by Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James. The apartment is located at Brentwood. He becomes neighbor to celebrities like Jessica Alba and Steven Spielberg. The Cavs star recently sold his Miami estate for $13.4 million this summer.
James’ recent partnership with Warner Bro.’s led to speculations regarding his venture in film. He made his debut as supporting actor in “Trainwreck,” released in last summer.
James is also known for his affinity in South California, and the off-court business opportunities there always lured him. This isn’t related to his game or NBA, according to sources. James can even opt out of the $47 million, 2-year contract with the Cavs and become an unrestricted free agent next summer. In that case, the Los Angeles Lakers will have the required cap space to recruit him.
“He likes L.A., he plans on spending time there in the summer, and he has a growing number of business opportunities,” revealed a source close to LeBron James. “No one should read this as any indication about basketball. It’s a vacation house.”
