Speculations abound saying that Motorola will soon release a new smartphone in 2016. Popular leakster, @evleaks, revealed a new Motorola phone, the bottom part of which is visible in the image. We are likely to see two phones, the Moto G4 Plus and the Moto G (4th generation), in the market available beginning next month.
While Evan Blass wrote on Twitter the name of one of the devices, Moto G4 Plus, a commentator by the name of Malcolm Williams confirmed that the G4 Plus is being tested at the Merchandise Mart, likely to come out soon. He also wrote in another tweet, “for the Moto G4 Plus I can only go on what I see. And it was pretty nice.”
Nothing more is revealed with regards to specs, prices and availability. Lenovo, however, confirms that its Moto branded-devices come with a fingerprint scanner embedded within the phone. A few weeks ago, a new device dubbed Moto X3 was spotted on the Zauba listing. And now, we have rumors running wild saying two more Moto smartphones are pegged for release, notes GSM Arena.
Softpedia gives hints about the speculated specifications and features of the devices. The Moto G4 Plus is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard. It is expected to come with a 16MP rear-facing camera as well as a microSD card slot. The internal memory is limited to 16GB.
The Moto G 4th generation is also a mid-range device like the Moto G4. It is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch screen with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The rear-snapper will be slightly lower at 13MP, while the internal storage space is 16GB. Rumors have it that both the devices will be available in two colors, black and white.
