Samsung and Apple are expected to release new smartphones this year, but new information suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S7 may have an advantage over the iPhone. Leaked specs of the Samsung Galaxy S7 hint that it will come with new game-changing features that are revolutionary enough to give it an edge over Apple’s offerings.
Samsung Galaxy S7 was recently spotted in AnTutu benchmarks, offering more details about the device. Not to mention the Geekbench details of the phone also almost painted the picture completely. The initial leaks say Samsung Galaxy S7 will run on Exynos 8890, while Geekbench’s listing suggests it will run Snapdragon 820. It can be both as Samsung previously released versions of devices with different processors.
According to Forbes, Qualcomm decided to pack the Snapdragon 820 with advanced features including an artificial intelligence search engine and a new personal assistant called Zeroth. What makes search engine superb is that it provides more relevant information and allows users to input more specific tags. Furthermore, Zeroth is an active assistant as opposed to Siri, considered to be a passive assistant.
Zeroth preempts user requests because it attempts to decide in advance depending on the user’s past behavior. Information is gathered via the smartphone’s sensors which are updated constantly. However, Qualcomm will have to work on data privacy concerns because its cognitive intelligence technology requires accessing user’s personal information.
Other expected features of the Samsung Galaxy S7 include 5.1-inch display with 2560 x 1440 Quad HD resolution, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 12-megapixel primary camera and microSD support. Many have also speculated that it will come with a larger battery because of its high-power processor. As with other leaks and assumptions, details should be taken with a grain of salt. Samsung has yet to provide the final details of the product.
