Both the European giants area single win away from a treble. Both the coaches are chalking out tactics to notch up a win on Saturday’s high-voltage encounter at Berlin. Barcelona FC is in sublime form, rampaged every opponents on their way to the La Liga and the Kings Cup title. Juventus, on the other side, have been resurgent this season by winning the Serie A League and the Italian Cup tournament.
Led by vintage Argentine Lionel Messi, the key to Barca’s glorious run this season have been their three-pronged Latin-American attacking line up. Brazilian Neymar Jr and Louis Suarez of Uruguay’s combination with Messi’s outstanding class had already made the Catalans an invincible side of Europe this season. Former Spanish international Luis Enrique is eying an European glory following the footsteps of his predecessor Pep Guardiola.
The Italian Champions are in the hunt for their first European championship title since 1996. This could be the last chance for legends like Andre Pirlo, Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini to lift the Trophy. And indeed, the Italian side will be banking on their famous Catenacciao system to throttle Barca’s attacking-flair. Carlos Tevez, another Argentine striker, has led Juve to attack this season. Former Real Madrid man Alvaro Morata is scoring goals at regular intervals.
Brazilian striker Neymar too is amongst goals for Barca.
“I’m very anxious,” Neymar revealed. “Ronaldo did not win the Champions League, which shows how difficult it is. We have the chance to win and I will do my all to win the title. The team is happy. There’s a good atmosphere, good for work and now we’re concentrating on the final.
“From the moment that we saw that things were tough for us, we got together and said: ‘We have to win for ourselves,'” he said ahead of the finals.
