Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant will hit the free agency market in 2016. Well, there isn’t any clear hints from Durant about his future plans once he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
But experts are of the opinion that Durant’s prime objective is to land at Los Angeles if he leaves OKC. According ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Durant’s prime target is to land at Los Angeles Lakers.
“Regardless of how senseless it may (sound), in one breath I’m hearing that if Kevin Durant doesn’t stay in Oklahoma City, L.A. is his primary objective and landing spot as opposed to South Beach or even his home of Washington, D.C.,” Smith said on “First Take.”
Currently, the Lakers roster is full of young talents like Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell.
With Kobe Bryant, Byron Scott and Jim Buss, the Lakers are still unable to sell any member of this elite core off their roster. But Bryant may retire, and Scott may be fired. This could open the window for Kevin Durant.
But until next summer, this is a speculation.
