Death by firing squad.
Hundreds of people watched as North Korea’s defense minister, Hyon Yong Cho, was killed by an antiaircraft gun.
According to South Korea’s intel as reported by news agency, Yonhap, Hyon was charged with treason and was ordered to be executed by the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un.
Seoul’s National Intelligence Service stated, and as reported by The Guardian, that Hyon was said to have shown disrespect to the leader in a military event by dozing off.
There are still no clear proofs of the execution as of press time, but 15 of the highest-ranking officials have been executed so far this year, CNN reported.
