Who have just proven that they’ve got what it takes to be in the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards in 2016?
Every year, personalities from the sports industry are being named as among the well-loved people of children.
On Thursday, the annual awards just revealed the names that made it to the cut via an event hosted by NFL quarterback Russell Wilson for the second time, which was aired on Sunday night.
Aside from Kobe Bryant who was given the Legend Award, below is the complete list of winners for the 2016 Kids’ Choice Sports Awards:
Best Male Athlete – LeBron James (NBA, Cleveland Cavaliers)
Best Female Athlete – Alex Morgan (NWSL, Orlando Pride)
Favorite Newcomer – Simone Biles (Professional Artistic Gymnast)
Hands of Gold – Odell Beckham Jr. (NFL, New York Giants)
Clutch Player of the Year – Stephen Curry (NBA, Golden State Warriors)
Sickest Moves – Stephen Curry (NBA, Golden State Warriors)
Don’t Try This At Home Award – Ronda Rousey (UFC, MMA Fighter)
King of Swag – Cam Newton (NFL, Carolina Panthers)
Queen of Swag – Leticia Bufoni (Professional Skateboarder)
Best Cannon – Russell Wilson (NFL, Seattle Seahawks)
Biggest Powerhouse – Rob Gronkowski (NFL, New England Patriots)
Need for Speed – Usain Bolt (Professional Track and Field Athlete)
In the meantime, Kids’ Choice Sports Awards returning host Russell Wilson described this year’s edition as monumental, according to The Wrap.
“Last year was epic, this year is going to be monumental,” the athlete shared about the things that every fan must expect from the sports awards this year. “We have bigger challenges, we have the Splash Brothers [NBA stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson] shooting three-point challenges, we have Rob Gronkowski running around.”
In a separate report, The Hollywood Reporter shared that aside from the three-point challenges, Thursday’s Kids’ Choice Sports Awards ceremony was also a big hit to the spectators as Bella twins, Jamie Anderson, Emmanuel Sanders, Andre Caldwell and Victor Espinoza did the slime pie-eating contest.
