KFC Cleared, Did Not Serve A Rat

KFC is now free from any claims that it served a rat to customer Devorise Dixon.

According to his Instagram post, Dixon purchased the meal at the KFC branch in Compton, California on Wilmington Avenue and 120th Street. However, LA Times reports that the restaurant owner claims that their security video actually “doesn’t show him as an actual customer.”

The incident started when 26-year old Devorise Dixon bought a 3-piece chicken tenders meal and bit into something that he described as “very hard and rubbery which made me look at it.”

He added, “I NOTICED IT HAD A VERY LONG TAIL AND WAS SHAPED LIKE AN RAT! IT SENT DEEP CHILLS THROUGHOUT MY WHOLE BODY IM STILL FEELING SICK CANT EVEN EAT!!!”

On Friday, ABC News reports that Dixon’s attorney turned over the food item in question to an independent lab for testing.

KFC was more than relieved to confirm what they had known all this time, that the food in question was simply chicken. Furthermore, KFC told the LA Times, “The right thing for this customer to do is to apologize and cease making false claims about the KFC brand.”

For his part, Dixon made a follow up post, saying that he had gone back to the Compton KFC branch and spoke with a manager who reportedly admitted the piece of meat was a rat and apologized.

With regard to this, KFC spokesman responded with a statement to syracuse.com saying, “We did an internal investigation and talked to all employees. That statement is false.”

Dixon, who celebrates his birthday on June 24, has reportedly retained an attorney as he continues to maintain his claim, syracuse.com further reports.

He writes, “Honestly, it doesn’t matter what others think I know what I bit into and what it looks like never in life have… seen a chicken strip with a long tail.”

Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, KFC Corporation is a brand synonymous with finger lickin’ good fried chicken for the past 70 years.

According to their website, there are over 18,000 KFC outlets located in as much 115 countries around the world. They take pride in preparing tasty, family meals that are affordable for everyone.
