Rumors are growing louder that Kevin Garnett is “definitely” going to re-sign for Minnesota Timberwolves, according to TwinCities.com. Although nothing has been announced yet, pending free agent Kevin Garnett will be returning to Minnesota as well as coach Saunders.
Former All-Star KG was recruited last year to mentor the rookies and help with the locker room atmosphere as a franchise guide. An ownership role or a management position, everything have been discussed for the would-be hall-of-famer in Timberwolves. Garnett bypassed the option to switch over to Los Angeles Clippers to join his friend Paul Pierce as a rotational player seeking long-term growth employment opportunity at Minnesota, the city which drafted him 18 years ago. At least he’s going to play one more season for the team he represented the first 12 years of his illustrious career.
For new No. 1 pick Karl-Anthony Towns an intense mentor for coming seasons awaits at Minnesota.
