Kendall Jenner has not only landed a Vogue cover but was able to do it for the most coveted September issue. She has opened up about her famous family in the interview with the magazine, and that includes her feelings on Caitlyn Jenner’s transition. Will her father be furious?
While her half-sister Kim Kardashian and brother-in-law Kanye West were the first in the family to feature on the magazine’s cover, they were unable to make it to the September issue, which is regarded as the premiere release of any magazine.
“In a room with a bunch of people I love, looking at this cover made me cry,” the model shared on Instagram while in the Bahamas for sister Kylie Jenner’s birthday. “I F**KING DID IT. SEPTEMBER VOGUE. This is the coolest thing ever! can’t thank you enough Anna, for giving me the honor.”
The magazine cover features Kendall Jenner in a Gucci ensemble with her hair cut short and covering one side of her face. She admitted that she went through a style change for photo shoot.
“One day, we shot at the craziest house in Beverly Hills with a lake in the backyard. They asked me to cut my hair and, of course, I agreed!” she was quoted as saying by the Mail Online.
In the interview she revealed a lot of her inner feelings about her family members, from Kylie to Caitlyn. She said that she would often be alone at home playing video games. She added that she even remembered crying in her bedroom because Kylie had more friends than her.
The model also spoke of her reactions when Caitlyn transitioned from Bruce. The transitioning had upset her because it was her dad who made her realise that it was okay being a tomboy, but then changed into being as glamorous as her sisters.
“I knew it was going to have its rough phase but it’s all super normal now,” she said in the interview as quoted by the Celebrity Dirty Laundry. “It’s not weird at all. Sometimes I look at a picture of my dad when she was a guy, and it makes me a little sad – I get emotional. You have to get past it, you’ve got a new person to love.”
The 20-year-old, who at time mixes up the pronouns while referring to Caitlyn, revealed that her transition has influenced not only her family life but how she perceives the whole world, the E! Online reported.
