Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has for the second time made her way to the cover of Vogue Australia, for its August edition. Rumors have it that Kate Middleton is feeling pangs of envy because she is upstaged by Denmark’s Princess Mary Australian Vogue Feature.
Kate Middleton made her debut on the British Vogue cover for its centenary issue in April. She is not the only royal to be featured on the cover of the fashion bible.
In fact Crown Princess Mary first starred on the cover of Vogue Australia, just after her royal wedding with Crown Prince Frederik in 2004, Vogue reports. During that time Kate Middleton and Prince William were both pursuing their studies at St Andrews University in Scotland. The pair graduated in 2005, after knowing each other for four years.
Kate’s photoshoot was done by British photographer Josh Olins near her and William’s country home Anmer Hall in January. The 34-year-old royal’s Vogue UK photoshoot was relaxed. The pictures showed the princess in her natural form, and were released as part of the collaboration between British Vogue and the National Portrait Gallery.
Kate Middleton opted for a brown suede jacket by Burberry paired with a white shirt and classic green fedora hat. Her long brunette tresses were left in loose waves and her signature blow dry. Kate’s British Vogue pictures were “full of life” and reflected the Duchess of Cambridge’s sense of humor, thoughtful and intelligent” nature, as well as “beautiful persona.”
However, Princess Mary was all glammed up for her photoshoot for Vogue Australia. The Danish royal looks stunning in a flowing black gown as she walks hand-in-hand with her husband Frederik, who wears a coordinated look. Mary accessorizes with a diamond tiara, matching drop earrings, while her brunette tresses are left loose over her shoulders, and she wears natural makeup.
The royal couple are clicked on the grounds of their home at Amalienborg Palace by renowned photographer Mario Testino. The inside picture of the cover story shows Mary and Frederik with their four kids in their home. The doting parents have their arms around Prince Christian, 10, Princess Isabella, nine, and five-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. Both Mary and Frederik are casually dressed in jeans and shirt in the picture.
The photoshoot of both the princesses are distinctly different in the sense that Kate’s Vogue cover is all about her, while Mary shared the spotlight with her husband and kids.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, all the pictures of Kate from British Vogue look staged and stiff, while Mary’s is very relaxed and casual. Could this be making Kate Middleton furious?
