While his fans may not be used to seeing him shed tears, Justin Bieber showed off his emotional side when he paid tribute to the late Christina Grimmie during his “Purpose world tour in Winnipeg, Canada on Saturday.
As narrated by Us Weekly, the 22-year-old Canadian singer was performing his song “Purpose” when he was caught wiping his eyes with the back of his arm as he laid down on the ground and called out his friend’s name saying, “Grimmie, can you hear me?”
Seventeen revealed that the two young singers got close through Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
In a video of the “Love Yourself” artist shared on Twitter by JustinBieberCrew.com, a number of followers aired out their grief about the early demise of the former “The Voice” third-placer.
“Oh my god i cant handle this [sic],” one fan commented on the post, while another wrote, “I cry to hear him say ‘grimmie can you hear me [sic].’”
In the meantime, amid the soft side of Justin Bieber being unleashed during his concert, a People report hinted about the other side of his character.
It was learned that the “Never Say Never” singer got into an altercation with an unnamed man in Cleveland last week.
“In the week leading up to the fight, you could tell he was going to snap,” a source reportedly relayed. “It was like a bottle had been shaken.”
Accordingly, the incident happened because the reported heckler said “something negative” to Justin Bieber.
“People run up to him and they literally will put their phone two inches from his face,” the source added. “There’s no filter with these fans.”
The unnamed informant even continued to disclose that the fans of Justin Bieber would “spring up to him and just throw their phone to the point where they almost smack him.”
