The Tuesday reveal of Justice League contained new details about the movie. Fans initially expressed disappointment towards the event. But it seems like they have prematurely judged the reveal. New updates suggest that the production team have dropped crumbs of information for the journalists who visited the London set.
First, the featured image reveals the official logo of the movie. We also got our hands on the official synopsis of Justice League, thanks to Batman News. The new details confirm our superheroes, except for Superman, who’s still a mystery.
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
The synopsis confirms an invasion that affects the whole planet, confirming an attack from a different world. Fortunately, we got a second confirmation from Comic Book Resource confirming the role of Steppenwolf as the supervillain in Justice League. But that’s not all!
During the journalists’ visit to London, Zack and Deborah Snyder were initially giving out answers that contradicted each other. However, we now seem to have a clear picture! According to Screen Rant, Deborah Snyder said, “We’re only ever planning and we are only doing Justice League, just Justice League. One movie.”
While the answer may have confused most of the fans, Zack Snyder said that Justice League “is a complete movie” with a standalone story. But a second movie could be in the works with a different storyline.
As pointed out by IGN, the movie may be filled with parademons destroying both Gotham and Metropolis. However, will Steppenwolf be the only invader?
The studio has neither denied nor confirmed the arrival of Darkseid, the ruler of Apokolips. Moreover, it wouldn’t seem technically right if the “God of Evil” get the dirty work done before sending his army along with the commander (Steppenwolf) and his “first born” (Kalibak).
Also, fans who have read “The New 52 of Justice League Volume 7” The Darkseid War Part 1 can see physical similarities of Steppenwolf from the comic and the deleted scene.
If the storyline is really written to end with the Justice League debut, we can expect all three supervillains to attack Earth. Of course, we believe it would be waves of attack, which would end with Darkseid as the final trump card. We can hope for more reveals from the producer during their appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con.
