John Saunders cause of death is still not unconfirmed as of press time but details of his final moments were revealed by his wife.
Reports said that ESPN host John Saunders was found unresponsive by his wife last week.
His wife then called 911 for help but medical authorities were not able to revive him when they came to their New York home at 4am.
According to police chief Anthony Visalli, John Saunders, was pronounced dead moments later. He died at age 61, BET said.
He added that there is no foul play involved in John Saunders’ death, which will eliminate the possibility of having a medical examiner to investigate his body.
A report from Hollywood Take noted that his family members are thinking that John Saunder’s cause of death is related to his health as they said the host has not been feeling well in the last few days.
The news of John Saunders’ death was also confirmed at the Wednesday episode of Worldwide Leader in Sports, with his colleagues Hannah Storm, Stephen A. Smith, Jemele Hill and Michael Smith.
Meanwhile, John Saunder’s colleague from the sports world paid their tribute to the veteran host.
Robin Roberts thanked John Saunders for “putting her in the map” along with GMA’s Jesse Palmer.
“He stepped down from that position to do baseball and he was the one that shoved me in the boss’s office and said, ‘Ask for that job!’”
Jesse Palmer was also all praises for John Saunder, saying he was “so good at TV.”
“He made me better at my job. I was lucky to work with him, but more than that he made me love this profession so much more.”
