Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend Cathriona White left a suicide note addressed to the comedian. The autopsy report and evidences revealed statements by the duo’s friends, who told the police that they had broken up just a week before White committed suicide.
In the suicide note, White wrote, “I’ve spent 3 days now in disbelief that you’re not here. I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don’t have the will this time. I’m sorry you felt I wasn’t there for you. I tried to give you my best part.”
Carrey and White first met in 2012. Since then, they have been in an on-and-off relationship. They had gotten back together last spring following a long break up. However, sources told TMZ the couple did not fully break up at the time of the suicide but were just taking it slow.
The People Magazine reported that Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend died due to overdose of prescription medicines. In her note she also said that in respect to her funeral, she is fine with whatever her family decides, the Fox News reported.
“I don’t really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine,” she said before apologizing to Carrey in her note. “Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world.”
The note was signed as “Dewdrop,” which friends said was apparently a nickname that Carrey gave her. Following White’s death last year, Carrey issued a statement offering condolences.
“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her,” the CBS News quoted Carrey as saying.
