Jeremy Clarkson had a cancer scare the same time he attacked one of the producers of Top Gear. This is according to his column for The Sunday Times, where he confesses that two days before the controversial scuffle, his doctor told him he probably had cancer on his tongue.

He was told to get it checked it immediately, something he couldn’t do.

“We were in the middle of a Top Gear series,” he wrote. “And Top Gear always came first.”

The article, entitled “I’m having another baby. But I can’t tell you what it will look like,” continues with Clarkson, 55, reflecting on his age and his accomplishments. He ponders more possibilities for him. Playing squash is not ideal. Fishing is out of the question. Gardening proves to be less thrilling than a Maserati going 185mph.

At the end of the article, he announces a decision to create a new show.

“I have lost my baby but I shall create another.”

On March 10, Jeremy Clarkson was suspended by BBC for hitting a producer, as previously reported by Morning News USA.
