Jennifer Lawrence Nude Photo Hacker Traced In Chicago

Investigations to the controversial ‘Celebgate’ that involved Jennifer Lawrence nude photo leaks led an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to a brown brick bungalow in Brighton Park and an apartment near Midway airport. FBI cybercrimes unit special agent Josh Sadowsky has traced an IP address of a 30-year-old man named Emilio Herrera who resides at the bungalow. However, the home is owned by a man named Jesus Herrera and that there are other occupants in the house who appeared to have used the address.

Kate Upton, Anna Kendrick, and Christina Hendricks were also among those who were victimized by the scandal that shook the online community in 2014.

The information was revealed through a court affidavit filed at a U.S. District Court in Chicago. A copy of which was obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times.

The affidavit included interviews with eight of the celebrities who were victimized by the photo hacking scandal but they were referred to using initials. FBI agent Sadowsky said that the interview with victim “J.L.” had to be stopped because she had a panic attack.

“J.L. stated she was having an anxiety attack and was visibly shaken,” the agent wrote in the affidavit.

Other celebrity victims told Sadowsky that they cannot access their online accounts in the days that led up to the photo hacking scandal. Some victims remembered receiving “phishing” messages that could have given perpetrators access to their usernames and passwords.

One celebrity victim identified as “A.H” said she sent 54 private photos to her fiance. Other celebrities have told the same reason.

According to an FBI spokeswoman who has spoken with the Chicago Sun-Times, the ‘Celebgate’ investigation is ongoing but the homeowners mentioned in the affidavit are not charged with any crimes yet.

600 Apple iCloud accounts accessed thousand times

The affidavit revealed that a total of 600 Apple iClouds were accessed for 3,263 times using a computer IP address inside the Chicago homes. The accounts were accessed from May 31, 2013 to Aug, 31 2014.

The IP address from Herrera’s home accessed 330 iCloud accounts from May and August 2014.Two hundred ninety-one of these accounts were registered outside Illinois and were accessed for more than 600 times.
