Jason Falconer, the St Cloud Mall attack hero, is an off-duty police officer who shot and killed a mall stabber.
The off-duty police officer is a firearms instructor who owns a gun range. Falconer was recognized as the off-duty police officer who fatally shot Dahir Adan, a Somali immigrant who went inside Crossroads Center Shopping Mall on September 17 and stabbed nine victims before getting killed by a gunshot wound. The victims of the attack were taken to medical facilities and are expected to survive.
“His (Falconer’s) goal is to teach individuals the mindset, knowledge and skills needed to be successful with firearms in order to secure their personal safety or that of their family, at home or in public,” said Tactical Advantage, the off-duty police officer’s company website.
