Reality show host James Corden is beginning to harvest the fruits of his labor in what seems like an effortless job.
This funny, candid lead of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” is finally setting his foot on the grounds outside his comfort zone. While he continue to make us sing along with episodes of “Carpool Karaoke,” we get to expect a more formal yet still comic Corden to host a reputable ceremony a few months from now.
E! reports that James Corden is having his most incredible year so far, because he was chosen to host the 70th Annual Tony Awards in June. We may know him to be the laid-back and accommodating reality show driver who goes around town with a music personality to sing along with. Little did we know that he has already won a Tony Award, the Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play, through his role in “One Man, Two Guvnors.”
According to James Corden’s statement, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Tony Awards. Both times I’ve worked on Broadway have been amongst the happiest times of my professional life. I consider it to be a huge honor to be asked to host such an incredible night. It’s going to be fun; I can’t wait to dust off my tap shoes!”
Meanwhile, James Corden’s popular “The Late Late Show” launched its trailer for Tuesday night’s “Carpool Karaoke” episode featuring Coldplay lead man Chris Martin. The segment will start with Martin waving a “Super Bowl San Francisco” to hitch a ride. It happens that the ever-reliable carpool passed by and he gets to hop on.
This particular episode of the “Carpool Karaoke” with Chris Martin will make you want to watch the Super Bowl 50 Halftime show. Billboard reports that Coldplay along with Bruno Mars, Beyonce, and other artists will perform at the event on Sunday.
