Social Media is a boon and a curse, at the same time. No doubt, it has done more good than bad, but there will always be people who try to ruin all the good in the world. One group who has been trying to ruin world peace is the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, better known as Isis. To put a full stop to their activities that were being born on or spread via social media, social media sites, Facebook and Twitter suspended accounts trying to promote terrorist activities.
The first thing these groups do is threaten anyone and anything that goes or speaks against them and frighten them with death threats, this time it is no different. Isis has now released a 25-minute video where Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg are hit by mock bullets.
In the video, the overwritten text reads, “You announce daily that you suspend many of our accounts, and to you we say: Is that all you can do? You are not in our league. If you close one account we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete your sites, Allah willing, and will know that we say is true.” Vocativ reported, “Twitter said earlier this month it suspended 125,000 accounts “for threatening or promoting terrorist acts, primarily related to ISIS. Facebook has said that it works to ensure that terrorists don’t use the site, and that it removes content supporting terrorism.”
Responding to the Isis threats, a Twitter Spokesperson said, “It just happens all the time” and the company is not going to respond. We just hope that Jack Dorsey and Marck Zuckerberg stays safe and away from danger. For more Isis latest news, subscribe with Morning News USA.
