With the reported earnings of Marvel Studios, could it be possible that it will finally decide to release “Iron Man 4”?
It can be noted that the Robert Downey, Jr.-starrer earned well when the movie’s first three installments were released.
With rumors about the return of the red and yellow suit-clad superhero abounding, some might have thought that producing and releasing another “Iron Man” movie could be their best option.
According to Forbes, the sales history of the previous “Iron Man” films has proven how popular Tony Stark is among viewers. This is something that the franchise may experience once again with the release of “Iron Man 4.”
The news outlet further noted that “the MCU films that feature Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man make a lot more money than the ones without Tony Stark.”
It was dished that the original “Iron Man” film raked in $585 million, while “Iron Man 2” earned $623m.
Moreover, it was revealed that the 2D versions of the two installments performed way better than “The Incredible Hulk” in 2D, with $262m; “Thor” in 3D, with $449m; and “Captain America: The First Avenger” in 3D, with $371m.
Following the success of the “Iron Man 4” predecessors, it has been surmised that now is the time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to produce the sequel.
Australia Network News reported that three movies from Marvel are currently on the pipeline.
“Finally, three untitled Marvel Studios films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020 and November 6, 2020,” the production outfit reported disclosed.
While there have been no announcements yet about the titles of these upcoming projects, fans have allegedly speculated that one of them could be “Iron Man 4.”
There might be truth to it, especially that the rumored release dates of the new Marvel movies are set in 2020, that would give the production team more time to come up with a win-win agreement on the salary of RDJ in “Iron Man 4.”
