There have been much speculations around the release date of Apple iPhone 7 and its features According to leaker Evan Blass of the @evleaks, the company is planning to reveal its next iPhone in September.
The Twitter account @evleaks has become a reliable source for advanced information on unreleased mobile phones. Blass confirmed that the pre-orders on Apple iPhone 7 will begin September 9. However, there was no mention of the source he got the cue from. Thus, fans are still wondering about the plans the company has under the wraps.
Earlier this week Blass reported that the iPhone 7 retail release will start on the week of September 12. However, there is no confirmation from the company on the news, the Mirror reported.
“iPhone 2016 release: week of September 12th,” he wrote on Twitter on Saturday. The next day he posted another message saying, “Just to clarify, this refers to the retail release, not the launch event. To be even more specific, it should happen on Friday, Sept. 16th.”
According to German tech news site Apfelpage, the next Apple phone may not even be called Apple iPhone 7. Apfelpage got in touch with Chinese supply chain sources, according to whom, the new phone will be called iPhone 6SE.
The Fortune reported that according to rumors, the next iPhone could come with a few minor changes in the design. The headphone jack could be replaced with two speakers at the bottom. There are also speculations of an iPhone 7 Pro model with dual camera launch.
Going by its previous records, it is likely that Apple is really planning to unveil the next iPhone in September. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S were launched in September and it is possible that this year too it has plans lined up for the month. This gives the company an opportunity to take advantage of the Black Friday deals and also the sales that run up to Christmas.
