It’s soon going to be that time of the year again, when the battle between iOS and Android, Apple and Google takes place. With Samsung having consolidated its position in the market with the success of Samsung S6 and S7, Apple seems to be struggling big time to deliver never-before-seen innovation to its users. So who survives till the end in the iPhone 7 Pro vs Galaxy Note 6 battle?
Samsung has very tactfully devised to launch the Galaxy note 6 on August 15 this year in the United States, while it is being predicted that the iPhone 7 Pro is going to come out sometime in the fall. This gives the Galaxy Note 6 plenty of time to gain an edge over its competitor when it comes to both market sales and critics reviews, reports Forbes.
Samsung had applied similar strategies back when it had released the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and it had paid off. Apple’s iPhone SE never managed to catch up to the South Korean handsets in the global market.
As far as innovation and novelty of design go, it is difficult to point out a specific winner. While there have been pretty upsetting rumors about iPhone 7, with tech experts like Mark Moskowitz predicting that it would probably not have “any must-have form factor changes,” the case is not same when it comes to iPhone 7 Pro, reports CNET.
Here are some of the specs to look forward to in the iPhone 7 Pro that did not exist in its earlier versions (even though they have not been confirmed yet):
- Water-resistant and dustproof body
- Replacement of the headphone jack with a Lightning Port.
- Dual camera with HD DSLR-like picture quality
- Repositioned antenna bands, which will be nearer to the top and bottom.
- Autofocus laser to be shifted between the camera lens and the flash.
- Encryption of iCloud data
The Galaxy Note 6, on the other hand, is rumored to be a feature-rich phablet, with Samsung dropping all plans to release more than one variation, unlike Apple, and focus all of its attention in making this single launch an epic one. Given that Samsung is also an expert in keeping its upcoming projects tightly under wraps, according to Slash Gear, the following specs are the ones so far that are doing the rounds:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor
- New GearVR headset that is compatible with the USB-C, being introduced in it
- 8-inch display
- 6GB of RAM
