Ever week we are treated to news of new devices in the market. Now, another phone is gracing the public. Intex has once again launched its latest offering, another smartphone under its Cloud series. The latest phone from the tech company is called the Intex Cloud Jewel.
Earlier this month, we reported about Intex launching a new phone – the Intex Aqua Twist, which has a twisting camera. This time, we bring news of another phone.
Tech2 reports that the latest mobile device features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and a 294 ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 5.1 with a 1GHz quad core MediaTek processor. It comes with a RAM of 2GB and an internal storage of 16GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
Intex Cloud Jewel sports a 2-megapixel front shooter and an 8-megapixel rear shooter with F2.2 aperture, F2.2 aspect ratio and LED flash. The phone also comes pre-loaded with camera features such as face recognition, panorama mode, live photo and selfie face beauty mode, reports TechOne3.
The new addition to the Cloud series has a dimension of 143.5 x 71.4 x 8.95mm and weighs 140 grams. It comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. According to Gadgets 360, the dual-SIM enabled smartphone also supports 3G (HSPA+), micro-USB, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/A-GPS and 4G in terms of connectivity options.
The phone, however, can only support 4G on one SIM at a time. The new mobile device is powered by a 2500 mAh Lithium ion battery, which the company claims can last up to 5-8 hours talk time and up to 220 hours standby time, reports The Mobile Indian.
It also comes pre-loaded with apps such as 360 Security, Freecharge, Follo, Goibibo, Hike, Hotstar, iData Savers, Intex Service, iStore, Matrabhasha, Newshunt, OLX, Onedrive, Opera Mini Saavn and Skype. Intex Technologies Mobile Business Head Sanjay Kumar Kalirona said that Intex Cloud Jewel is “another brilliant 4G-LTE device from the house of Intex and is a true delight for the consumers.”
Kalirona also said that “2016 will be all about 4G LTE smartphones in India.” The mobile head said that Intex will continue to “bring innovative devices at affordable prices for consumers.” The tech company has partnered with Snapdeal to exclusively sell the latest Intex phone for 5,999 INR. BGR also adds that the phone is available in two color variants which are champagne gold and grey.
