On Wednesday morning, Facebook finally rolled out its rumored deal with news media that will directly post full articles on news feeds. Instant Article, introduced by Facebook, will only be available for iOS devices for the time being.

According to Facebook, the idea of Instant Article grew more relevant due to the fact that people share articles on mobile devices, which takes eight seconds on average to load. With Instant Article, the time will be shorter and sharing will be fast.
As we reported earlier, the new setup will benefit Facebook as well as publishers. First of all, publishers will be able to keep 100% ad revenue from the ads they publish in their articles. They will also not be deprived of traffic data analytics.
For readers, getting important news on their Facebook news feed can be quite beneficial. Till today, they used to get a glimpse of the most important news on the sidebar.
Users will be able to zoom in and explore high resolution photos, watch auto-play videos, listen to audio captions and explore interactive maps. The articles will come to life as you read them. You can add comments to individual parts of the article and can “Like” them, too.
Facebook Chief Product Officer Chris Cox said, “Fundamentally, this is a tool that enables publishers to provide a better experience for their readers on Facebook.”
He added, “Instant Articles lets them deliver fast, interactive articles while maintaining control of their content and business models.”
