iCloud Storage Plans For iOS Devices In Detail; What You Need To Know

What you need to know about the new iCloud storage plans.

Did you always pray for the iCloud Storage pricing to change in a way where you do not feel guilty about spending your dollar? Did you always feel that you are not getting enough space in exchange of what you are paying for? Then listen up!

iOS users will be given three storage options to choose from in the United States:

1. 50GB,
2. 200GB, or
3. 1TB of storage

Pricing will start from $0.99 per month and depending on the storage option you choose, it can cost you up to $9.99 per month. Listed below are the current and new pricing structures that are assumed to go live with iOS9.

Current iCloud Plans

– 20GB for $0.99 per month

– 200GB for $3.99 per month

– 1TB for $19.99 per month

New iCloud Plans

– 50GB for $0.99 per month

– 200GB for $2.99 per month

– 1TB for $9.99 per month

For the iOS users who are active iCloud users, here is a message from Apple to you –

“If you purchased a monthly plan before September 16, 2015, your account was upgraded automatically. If you’re currently on an annual plan, you’ll continue to renew annually at that rate. If you select a new monthly plan, your annual plan won’t be available to you.”

How to upgrade your iCloud Storage

Pricing plans similar to the plans mentioned above are available outside US as well. Other countries can get the details about the iCloud Storage pricing on the company’s web page. To upgrade your current iCloud Storage plan, just go to Settings where you will see iCloud option. From iCloud, go to Storage and then click on ‘change storage plan,’ and you are all set to upgrade to a new plan.
