Oh no he didn’t! Rapper Ice Cube described Donald Trump as what Americans’ role model!
Speaking with Bloomberg, Ice Cube half praised and half criticized Trump. On the one hand, the rapper said the GOP front runner can be considered an “American dream.”
According to Ice Cube, “Donald Trump is what Americans love. Donald Trump is what Americans aspire to be — rich, powerful, do what you wanna do, say what you wanna say, be how you wanna be.” He also said Trump is the leader Americans want. “That’s kind of been like the American dream. He looks like a boss to everybody, and Americans love to have a boss.”
However, Ice Cube does not think Trump is the leader that Americans need. This is because Trump might find it difficult to help poor people or individuals who are struggling, for the reason that Trump is rich and he can’t relate to that kind of struggle, Ice Cube analyzed.
The rapper further explained that the wealth of Trump may act as the hindrance of the presidential hopeful in winning the United States 2016 election.
When the discussion went to the legitimacy of Barack Obama as president claiming incorrectly that Obama was born in Kenya. Ice Cube replied, “Trump sounded crazy to me back then.” He explained, “I can see raising the question, but once you get the answer, man, move on.”
On the other hand, Rolling Stone reported that on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, the rapper fired back to the criticisms of Gene Simmons (bass guitarist and co-lead singer of Kiss) regarding N.W.A and other hip-hop artists being included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ice Cube said in a statement, “Everybody’s got their own opinions and Gene, he’s an OG in the game, but he’s just wrong on this.”
