Google is launching two more Nexus phones this year – from Huawei and LG. Both phones were rumored to be featuring rear fingerprint scanner technology which is now confirmed with the leaked pictures of Huawei Nexus 6.
In the exclusive leak story by uSwitch, the website mentioned that the pictures were sourced for them by @OnLeaks, a serial tech leaker. The blueprint of this new device was being sent to third-party manufacturers prior to its release when the pictures got leaked. The specifications or other features are not clear at this time, but the fingerprint scanner is clearly visible in the pictures. As you know, Android M which is soon to be launched will provide firm support to such sensors, so all devices that will be launched in the future may come with fingerprint scanners.
This technology though is creating a wave of excitement in the industry; the experts know that fingerprint scanner has already been tried and tested by LG for its LG G3 and LG G4 smartphones.
The rumors were that these devices may come with bigger screens – 5.5 and 5.7-inch displays. The leaked pictures confirm the news of bigger screens.
Here are some of the other key features:
Dimensions: 159.4mm high and 78.3mm wide
Thickness: 6.6mm thick, 8.5mm being the thickest point
USB Port: Compatible with USB Type C Connectors
Looks: Metal Construction, Dark-colored
Operating System: Android M
Scheduled for launch somewhere in the months of October to November, this smartphone looks quite decent and comes with a bunch of wonderful features. The build of the Huawei phone still remains unknown, but rest assured, it is not going to be disappointing.
