Rumors of Huawei making the next Google Nexus are now confirmed. According to ZDnet, an employee of the China-based company has confirmed that Huawei will be partner of Google in making the next Nexus phone.
Google was reported to be launching two Nexus handsets this year, which is quite unlikely for the tech giant. However, with the confirmation from Huawei, one hardware partner is already known.
Huawei is making Google Nexus for the first time ever and it can be a determining factor for the company.
As per the report, the other company that will be making a Nexus handset is LG, though that is not confirmed yet. Huawei’s Google Nexus phone will be 5.7 inches, while he LG model will be a 5.2 incher.
Huawei has been trying for a long time to build its U.S. market, and this move may turn out to be the deciding one. The Huawei model will be in the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and if the market is to be believed, it is at its most attractive size that would make buyers go crazy.
According to a PC World report, the Chinese company wants to be one of the top 3 in the country.
From Google’s point of view, the deal can turn out to be quite profitable. Google is still not allowed to present its paid Play Store apps in China, and it’s trying hard to do so. With the deal, it may eventually get a chance to set its market in the biggest customer-base of the world.
