With several products launching at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, Huawei plans to release the P9 phone variants in a separate event this year. The Chinese multinational networking company has been working on its high-end P9 smartphones which are expected to be budget-friendly.
Venture Beat reports that Huawei will offer a P9 phone, a reasonably priced P9 Lite model and a P9 Max handset. However, there is no detail information about the P9’s fourth variant, but reports claims that the fourth variant will be a premium model or a feature-enhanced P9.
Further reports say that the Huawei P9 variants launching in 2016 will not sport a QHD screen. Therefore, it makes the Huawei Nexus 6P as the only phone to offer QHD technology for its display screen, reports NDTV.
Reportedly, Huawei’s fourth variant will have a large screen with extra storage option. It will also have an additional RAM, an improved camera, dual lens and much more. The Times of India states that the fourth P9 variant will experience more features to its camera setup. The new camera will have added surprises for Huawei fans with upgraded simulated filters and adjustments, refocusing images, etc.
As for the Huawei P9 model, it is an upcoming sequel to the Huawei P8. The P8 was a huge success and the P9 is expected to follow suit. The model is likely to feature a 5-inch screen with full HD display resolution. It is alleged to feature Huawei’s own Kirin 950 processor.
As far as the other P9 sibling models are concerned, the P9 Lite will feature a 5.2-inch screen, while the P9 Max will have a 6.8-inch display screen. Of all the specs, the most highlighting part is that all the devices will have 6GB of RAM. Alongside, the variants will feature Kirin 950 processor like the P9 model, reports Android Pit.
Mobipicker indicates that the P9 camera will come equipped with two lenses and with laser autofocus. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is fitted on the phone’s back cover.
