Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is putting all efforts into making its presence felt in the US. The company first sold the “Ascend” series smartphone in the region, and then came up with Nexus 6P and Honor 5x, which became instant hits among US fans. Last week, the company started selling the Huawei GX8 via Amazon, which is now available on other official sites for $350.
The device is already listed on BestBuy.com and GetHuawei.com, but it will be available in Best Buy motor and brick stores as well as Newegg from February 9. You can buy the device in three color variants – Space Grey, Horizon Gold and Mystic Champagne. You might not be aware of the fact that the GX8 is another version of the G8, which is already available in different markets other than the US, reports GSM Arena.
Android Central lists down the specs of the Huawei GX8, which is a powerhouse of great display and performance. Measuring 5.5-inches, the display screen has TFT technology and offers resolutions of 1,920 x 1,080 full HD with 401 ppi. It has Android 5.1 + EMUI 3.1, the device houses 1.5GHz Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 615 and octa-core processor with 64 bit.
The rear camera sensor is 13MP and the front camera sensor is 5MP. Powered by 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM, the phone gives you access to expandable memory up to 128GB enabled by microSD card. It has a 3,000mAH battery with Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB 2.0 high speed connectivity. Meanwhile, it includes several sensor options such as Accelerometer, Fingerprint, Proximity Sensor, Compass and ambient Light sensor.
Not just the upcoming Huawei GX8, but the company is geared up to circulate its other devices around the globe. We had recently reported that the Huawei Honor 5x was launched in Europe, and the upcoming Honor 7 Premium Edition is expected to land soon. The Honor 5X is now available through several online retailers across Europe in France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, etc.
