The HTC One series has started receiving the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, with the HTC One M8, is supposedly getting its first taste of Marshmallow tonight. Those owning the latest HTC One M9 flagship will be happy to know that HTC has begun rolling the software update to the device, but only to its UK consumers.
As of now, the unlocked version of the HTC One M9 will receive the update, but the locked version of the phone can expect to receive the update only after it is approved by its UK carriers. The confirmation of the news came in when Mr. Mo Versi wrote on Twitter this week mentioning the update. The news came one month after the software update was announced for its unlocked One M9 handsets in the U.S.
Alongside new improvements to looks and specs, the latest Android operating system is supposed to enhance users’ mobile experience with new features like Google Now on Tap, Doze, etc. A host of practically designed new features will ensure enhanced battery life, stability and performance.
It should be noted that the update will not include Android’s new emoji, which should come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The HTC One A9 phones are already receiving the latest Marshmallow update, TechnoBuffalo reported.
According to HTC, the HTC One M9 has a rare combination of features, both innovative and smart. In an all-metal body, the phone is ergonomically designed to render a strong grip. It has a 20MP rear camera along with sapphire camera cover lens. You are assured of clear and crisps photos. The lens is scratch resistance that brings long-lasting use.
Capture moments with maximum flair with the phone’s UltraPixel front camera. You will love to listen to your favorite singers with the phone’s front-facing stereo speakers with Dolb y audio rendering best sound quality. The phone has built-in HTC Themes app with which you can change the look and feel of the handset.
