Chad Shanks, social media manager for the Houston Rockets, was fired following a tweet pointed towards the Dallas Mavericks. The tweet was an emoji of a gun pointing at a horse’s head. It was posted at the time the team was beating the Mavericks during a game.
The tweet, posted just before victory, was criticized in social media. The company has since deleted it.
The Mavericks replied to the tweet.
@HoustonRockets Not very classy but we still wish you guys the best of luck in the next round.

The Rockets has issued an apology.
Our Tweet earlier was in very poor taste & not indicative of the respect we have for the @dallasmavs & their fans. We sincerely apologize.

Shanks mentioned in a tweet that he will not be working as social media manager any longer, and the same news was also confirmed by the company on Wednesday.
Shanks was an important member of the Houston Rockets. He attended a lot of pregame and post-game interviews while updating social networking websites with tweets and posts.
