A purported encrypted email from big time druglord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman addressed to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi has been leaked online.
In the email, El Chapo vowed that his men will destroy the terrorist organization. The news made it to the headlines across major news outlets. This, however, was a hoax. A satirical, fake news. The very own writer of the supposed email came clean about it.
“You ISIS are not soldiers,” El Chapo wrote in the fake email. “You are nothing but lowly pussies. Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation,” the email further said. The trash talk by El Chapo continued: “My men will destroy you. The world is not yours to dictate. I pity the next son of a whore that tries to interfere with the business of the Sinaloa Cartel. I will have their heart and tongue torn from them.” Apparently, El Chapo was mad because “drugs are not part of the organizational ideology for a Muslim State, ISIS fighters have been destroying shipments of drugs from the cartels.”
The brain behind this now viral story was Steve Charnock who works for Thug Life Videos. He personally contacted the Daily Mail to say that the email was fake, a pure work of fiction. His aim, together with his boss, was to make the comedic piece go viral. White it successfully went viral across the world, they never intended for it to be reported by major news outlets.
“It was satire, faux news. It got a few shares on Facebook initially, but now it is the top story on some websites,” Charnock told the Daily Mail. Charnock said he decided to come clean because none of the big outlets had contacted him to validate the email.
