Lauren Conrad, who continued to do so well in her career after the show, recounted some of the behind-the-scenes process as well.
Speaking with US Weekly ahead of the “The Hills” reunion show, Lauren Conrad’s memories of the show seem not to be all good.

“Actually, one of the scenes they show [in the special] is my first kiss with Brody, and it’s so uncomfortable,” the Lauren Conrad revealed prior to “The Hills” reunion show. “You can totally see this because [the crew members] knew we had previously kissed, and they said, ‘We need you to kiss on camera,’ because back then if it didn’t happen on camera, it didn’t happen.”
She added that kissing someone for TV was not fun at all.
“All of these guys [from the crew] I had known for years, and they were so sweet to me,” continues Conrad. “They felt like brothers to me, and I was like, ‘I don’t want to kiss a boy in front of you guys!’ It was just so weird, so it was really uncomfortable.”
She knows too a lot of bizarre and strange things happened on that show — or in other words, dramatic. Asked if she will talk about her stint as a reality star to her kids, when they have them, she said she will think about it.
On “The Hills” reunion show itself, Lauren Conrad revealed that her break-up with then-boyfriend Jason Wahler, broke her. Not because she still loved him at the time or cannot bear the thought of separating, but because she felt responsible for his drinking ways after and was guilty no one was going to take care of him.
“That really broke me, because I felt like a responsibility to take care of him, and I felt like when we broke up I was abandoning him,” Lauren tearfully admitted on the show, as reported by E News. “Because there were a lot of nights that I was getting 2 a.m. phone calls and I had to go pick him up passed out in the back of a club. So I was like who is doing that now, I know he doesn’t have friends who are doing it…I was like, oh god, no one is taking care of him.”
