“Hawaii Five-O” season 7 is hinting an action-packed premiere as main protagonist Steve McGarett is back after being badly wounded from the last season. However, spoilers are saying he will soon question himself after his undercover operation.
Steve McGarett, played by Alex O’Loughlin, had been badly hurt in the previous season after his undercover as a drug pilot. Danny, played by Scott Caan, then donated half of his liver to safe his partner’s life.
For “Hawaii Five-O” season 7 premiere episode, Steve can be seen back in action following the dead bodies of two serial killers with chess pieces on their mouths. Danny meanwhile advised him to take things easy and just look into the surroundings.
The episode, which was entitled as “Makaukau ‘oe e Pa’ani” or “Ready to Play,” will also shed light on how Steve will weigh his decisions.
“McGarrett does start the season sort of questioning his mortality and the choices he’s made,” showrunner Peter M. Lenkov told TVLine.
A Gamenguide report noted that Steve’s second chance in life was somehow a hint for him to be more matured.
“There is an arc about Danny trying to get McGarrett to slow down a bit and appreciate the fact that he’s been given a second chance,” showrunner Peter M. Lenkov added.
It is not only Steve’s maturity that is being eyed for the “Hawaii Five-O” season 7 premiere. The whole team is also expected to take more precaution and act on things maturely.
However, it is not only Steve who will start to ponder things but the whole team, too, will now more be matured.
“Hawaii Five-O” season 7 will premiere on September 23 on CBS at 9pm.
