Several years after his father was killed in a raid conducted by the U.S. Navy SEALs, Hamza Bin Laden, Osama Bin Laden’s son, is more outspoken than ever before. Word has now reached saying the young man will soon deliver a message regarding Saudi Arabia.
Hamza lost both his father and brother Khalid during the raid in the compound in Pakistan back in 2011. As he got older, he started to become more vocal, seemingly trying to take his father’s place.
A few months ago, an audio message from Hamza had been posted online. According to a report from Reuters, it was entitled “We Are All Osama.” Here, he said, “We will continue striking you and targeting you in your country and abroad in response to your oppression of the people of Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and the rest of the Muslim lands that did not survive your oppression.”
Hamza was introduced by Al Queda’s new chief Ayman al-Zawahiri in another audio message. “Hamza provides a new face for al Qaeda, one that directly connects to the group’s founder. He is an articulate and dangerous enemy.”
According to a report from news.com.au, Hamza had been appearing in a number of videos since 2001. He was also filmed in 2005 during a fight between the Pakistani security forces in south Waziristan and al Qaeda. It is believed that in 2007, Hamza took a more senior role in the terror organization. He was also seen leading a number of fighters through obstacle courses during training.
Hamza has also threatened to avenge the killing of his father. “As for the revenge by the Islamic nation for Sheikh Osama, may Allah have mercy on him, it is not revenge for Osama the person but it is revenge for those who defended Islam,” he said.
Based on Terror Monitor’s announcement, it is unclear whether Hamza will come out after his latest message.
