High school student and cheerleader Hailey Suder has become the third person to be arrested in connection with the murder of a homeless man back in April. George Lowery died after he was beaten to death by two brothers. It is now believed that Suder has a connection to the horrific crime.
Back in April, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department had announced the arrest of 20-year-old Austin Mostrong and 19-year-old Preston Mostrong. Both men faced charges of murder, robbery, kidnapping and torture following the death of 50-year-old Lowery.
According to Lowery’s daughter, Katey Torres, George’s wife Penny had found her husband “covered up to die” at the Sand Diego river bottom just west of Chubb Lane in Santee. He had been brutally beaten and was left tied up with blood all over his body.
Following the incident, an ambulance responded to the scene and took George to the hospital where he was immediately placed in critical condition. Five days after the attack, however, George succumbed to his injuries, suffering a stroke and two brain hemorrhages before he died.
It is believed that Suder did not take part in the crime itself. However, the high school cheerleader reportedly helped the Mostrong brothers escape. One friend of Suder also told NBC San Diego that the 18-year-old changed significantly since she started dating the older Mostrong brother, Austin.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Suder was arrested on the 9800 block of Via Rita in Santee. She has now been booked into the Las Colinas Detention Facility where she has been charged with one count of murder.
According to her social media, Suder is an animal lover who has a pet cat. Her Twitter handle is Princess and one of her last tweets prior to her arrest reads, “LMFAO i cant walk bc i got a 70% on my final that i know i deserved a better grade on&it brought my grade up to a 59.22, fuck you Mr.Coffin.” Suder goes to Santana High School.
Meanwhile, Lowery’s family continues to mourn his death. He was a loving husband and father. He also tried to help everyone around him as much as he could. Said Katey, “My father was a generous man. Although he did not have much he was always giving.” Katey has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay expenses.
