Since SDCC, fans have been questioning James Gunn on the release of “Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 2 teaser trailer footage. However, the director of the movie and Marvel Studios has failed to keep the audience at bay as descriptions of the footage have been hyping the audience to get their first look at Groot.
Last month, fans got their first look at Mantis played by Pom Klementieff and a shadowed look at little Groot in “Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 2 concept art. Since then, it has also been revealed that Kurt Russell will be playing as Ego the Living Planet in the movie.
As two new characters have been added to “Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 2, fans are expecting Marvel Studios and James Gunn to reveal more information on any other mysterious fictional characters added to the movie.
Fortunately, Empire magazine recently shared a new concept art of “Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 2. The image reveals the first look at a monstrous octopus type villain. Furthermore, the concept art also unveiled a detailed look at little Groot on the left side corner below.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 2 will be released on May 5th, 2017. Furthermore, director James Gunn has also revealed that there will be continuation to the series with a next title. Fans can follow him on social media platforms to stay updated on his announcements as well.
During an earlier Q &A on James Gunn’s official Facebook page, the director revealed that there was another mysterious character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. However, the character was removed as the final decision.
Fans are also expecting Michael Rooker’s Yondu character to have more screen time in “Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 2. Rooker’s portrayal of the fictional character became a fan favourite in the debut title. Recently, the 61 year old actor also teased Yondu on his official Facebook page.
