If the prevailing rumors are true, fans will have their first glimpse of GTA 6 next year. The highly-anticipated open-world game will reportedly be unveiled at E3 2017.
Rockstar is currently developing two new projects. There’s still no word on what those games might be. Some tech experts believe Rockstar is busy working on sequels to their popular titles.
Neuro Gadget noted that GTA 6 could be one of them. This is because GTA games release four to five years apart. It can be remembered that GTA 5 first hit the market in 2013.
GTA 6 is expected to release as early as 2018. It stands to reason that Rockstar is already midway through its development.
An unpolished version of GTA 6 could make an appearance at E3 2017. Games unveiled at the June event usually release the year after.
According to TNH, Rockstar is not in a hurry to release GTA 6 since GTA 5 and its online mode are still faring well in the market. GTA 5 continues to be a best-seller on all game platforms.
There were talks that GTA 6 will feature a female protagonist voiced by Eva Mendez. Even though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed such detail, the studio’s co-founder Dan Houser is very much open to the idea.
“In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course,” he said, via The Guardian. “We just haven’t found the right game for it yet, but it’s one of the things we always think about.”
Another rumor claims that Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling is the inspiration for the next lead in GTA 6. Movie Pilot indicated that developers designed the character with the “La La Land” actor in mind.
